COVID19 meant we had to cancel our planned f2f patient meetings in 2020. However, we trialed a ‘virtual’ patient social by zoom on Wednesday 16th December at 4pm. A group of patients and carers from across the UK who were able to join ‘met’ and shared experiences and engaged in chatty pre-Christmas banter. Quiz masters Heidrun and Karen led a Christmas themed quiz with some pretty challenging questions and a few iffy jokes thrown in! Who knew that the first Christmas card was sent in 1843 and that George V was the first monarch to deliver a Christmas day message to the nation. And I wonder how you would answer the question ‘What are the two most popular phrases on a Christmas card? None of us got the right answer to that one!
