About ThymicUK
We are a patient group whose principal aims are to support and advocate on behalf of patients suffering from cancers of the thymus gland such as thymoma and thymic carcinoma. We are recognised by The British Thoracic Oncology Group.

What personal information is held?

Names, email addresses, contact numbers, general location in the UK, photographs, and patient stories.
One of our ambitions is to help facilitate research into thymic cancers through identifying patients in the UK who are willing in principle to share their medical information with research organisations solely for research purposes and only with the appropriate further specific consents. We hold a list of people who in principle have indicated their willingness to share that information.

What is this personal data used for?

For communication. We also use some information (not contact information) and photographs on our website (www.thymicuk.org).
We may use some information for statistical support for funding applications.

Who is your information shared with?

Your personal information is not passed on to any other organisations or individuals without specific consent being sought.

How is the data stored?

The information is stored on mail servers and on computer and the information is password protected.

How can I check what data is held on me?
